Our Water Colour Homes
To complete our topic about ourselves, the children brought in a picture of their house. They had been looking very carefully at the features that make up the outside of a house. Although each of their houses had the same features like windows, doors and chimneys all their houses looked very different.
Using permanent marker the children first drew their house, adding all the different features in the correct places. Next we decided to use water colours, it is very important to wake up the water colours using a lot of water before you try to paint. Mixing the water colours the children were able to create the correct colours.
I think they turned out amazing, we definitely have some talented artists in the foundation stage classroom.
