Too-wit Too-woo Owl
We have been so very busy during World Around Us. Our topic for January and February was 'Light and Dark' and the children enjoyed finding out as many facts about the nocturnal animals that live on our countryside. After reading a story about a little owl who had white feathers and wished to be colourful like the other owls, we decided to create some brightly coloured owls using a range of warm and cold colours.
To bring this idea to life we learnt how to use oil pastels, water colours as well as weaving the most beautiful patterns. After some gluing and tearing and finishing touches we realised we had created the most beautiful owls.
Thankyou to the amazing artist and teacher Cassie Stephens for allowing us to follow your superb videos online and help make us the most amazing artists that we are.
What a beautiful display that we get to look at everyday in Primary 1 and 2. I hope you enjoy looking at each step of the process before the final reveal.
