Today in WAU we used some plague disclosing tablets to see how clean our teeth really are! First everyone brushed their teeth. Then everyone chewed on a tablet and the dye settled on the parts of our teeth that still had plague on them. This allowed the children to work out what bits they are missing when they are brushing. We then watched a video that showed us how to properly brush our teeth. I think everyone tonight will remember that you need to brush your teeth for at least 2 minutes!
Well done as well to our volunteer Charlie who chewed a tablet without brushing his teeth first so we could see the difference between brushed teeth and teeth that hadn't been brushed.
We then started to learn all about the different types of teeth we have.
