The children have really enjoyed retelling Handa's journey to take 7 delicious fruit to her best friend Akeyo. Along the way some cheeky animals take her fruit and Handa is surprised when she finally reaches Akeyo's village.
So far the children have mapped Handa's journey, retold the story in their own words, made masks and created the animals out of playdough. They even researched some of the fruit that Handa put into her basket using the internet and our large world map.
There is much more to do, so keep watching this space to see what else we get up to.
