During anti-bullying week the foundation stage classroom spoke about kindness and how we speak to others. Sometimes the words we use can impact others in a negative way.
We listened to a story that spoke about how we all carry an invisible bucket that can be filled or emptied by those around us. These people are call bucket fillers or bucket dippers. The children created a list of all the words that are kind and fill our buckets and then the words that are hurtful and may empty them.
We created a book for our library that listed all the things we would do to ensure our friends feel positive, happy and encouraged by our kind words.
